The Club scene was the focus Mid Western Girls Soccer League this week with action at Under 12 and Under 14 level.
In the Westward Scania Under 12 League, Castlerea Celtic Tigers are top of the table after a comprehensive win over CP Ajax. Amy Doory, Lilly Vickers, Iyanu Wilson, Niamh Hester, Holly Connolly, Abbey Flanagan, Jessica Gannon & Aine Brennan were all on target for the winners while Aisling Hanley and Aimee Caslin replied for CP Ajax.
Castlerea Celtic Lions defeated Ballaghaderreen FC 2-1 thanks to goals from Saoirse Webb & Kelis Curran. Kilkerrin United had an impressive win over an under-strength Glen Celtic with Áine Shaughnessy, Mairéad McGann, Ellen Forsythe, Niamh Hession, Sinéad Fallon & Kate Thornton all scoring.
In the Geraghty Travel Under 14 League there was just one game as Strokestown United and Ballaghaderreen FC drew 2-2 with Leigh Mcginley scoring twice for Strokestown.
