CPR Course
Western Gaels extends its thanks to all our club members who took part in the CPR/First Responder course which was held in the clubhouse on Monday evening last. Thanks to Kathleen O’Connor and Maura Lowry who delivered this very worthwhile course. If there are members that could not attend on Monday night last and would like to complete the course then please contact John Freeman on 086 8320107 and we can try to arrange another course if the numbers are there. Its a very worthwhile course to have so we would encourage as many members as possible to complete it.

Men’s Football
Junior Team:
The Junior team recorded another fine win in the Div 3 Tansey cup on Saturday evening last against St.Michaels in Cootehall. Played in beautiful conditions in what was an open and high scoring game throughout Western Gaels scored the last 4pts to record a 2pt win on a final scoreline of Western Gaels 0-20 St.Michael 2-12.

Senior Team:
The Devine and Co Senior Team play Oran in the next round of the Div 1 Senior league in Frenchpark on Friday evening next at 8pm.
Ladies Football
Adult Ladies Team:
The Kilrane O’Callaghan & Co sponsored adult ladies team had a busy and mixed weekend, on Friday evening they lost out to Clan na nGeal in round 4 of the league and on Sunday they secured the points against St. Brigid’s. The team now prepare for the championship which begins at the end of June.
U-14 Ladies Team:
The U-14 ladies team play Kilmore/Elphin on Wednesday evening next in Frenchpark. Check fixtures for confirmed details.
U-12 Ladies Team:
The U-12 girls beat Elphin/Kilmore on Sunday evening last. They play Padraig Pearses next Sunday evening in Frenchpark. Check fixtures for confirmed details.
Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others
Western Gaels Gaelic4Mothers & Others training has resumed for its 6th year. It’s a great way of meeting new friends & a fun way of keeping fit in a non-competitive environment.
