The club hosted an U8 Blitz on Saturday morning last, hosting teams from Kilglass, St Michael’s, Kilmore and St Ronan’s. Well done to all the players who took part, and thanks to all of the parents who helped out on the day.

Ladies Results and Fixtures

Our U14 Girls were beaten by St Faithleachs in their league game on Wednesday last. The girls started very well, creating a series of chances and scoring two goals with the first scores if the game. St Faithleach’s got a stranglehold around the midfield in the second quarter, and led by 3 at halftime. A couple of fortunate goals gave St Faithleach’s some breathing space early in the second half, but the Barry’s girls never gave up. Came back strong, and rattled off a series of good scores, including a well taken goal from Kayla Groenewald. However, they ran out of time, and Faithleachs held on for the win. The girls travel to play Four Roads next Wednesday.

U12 Girls:
The Girls had two tough games last week, travelling to Woodmount to face Padraig Pearses on Monday, before hosting Clan Na nGael on Sunday evening. The girls started slowly against Pearses, and in spite of a good come back in the second half, lost out on a scoreline of 7-9 to 3-7. On Sunday, they again lost out, this time to a much physically stronger Clan Na nGael outfit.
This group has competed very well in the top division against some of the biggest clubs in the county, and have by and large held their own throughout. Keep up the good work girls.
