Tomorrow, at the Roscommon and District Football League Grounds in Lecarrow, Ballymoe FC and Moore United meet in this season’s Premier Division Cup Final.

This promises to be a real cliff hanger between two talented sides which will be played on the immaculate surface at Lecarrow. Last Week Ballymoe reached the final of the Challenge cup after a comprehensive defeat of Ballinasloe Town. They have had one of their best seasons in the premier division by finishing sixth which was a major improvement on last season when they narrowly avoided relegation. In the Quarter Finals they travelled to Ballinasloe and beat the home side 1–0 with Daniel Malone getting the winner. They then travelled to St Johns Athletic and while taking a 2–0 lead early in the game they were pegged back before scoring two late goals. Daniel Malone, Ross Timothy, Aidan Brogan and James Connaughton scored their goals.
Moore United only lost one league game all season and given their points total they would be champions on many a season. They beat old rivals Skyvalley Rovers 3–2 in the first round with Mark Nicholson Alan Duffy and Andy Higgins getting their goals. In the next round they beat Castlerea Celtic 1–0 at Moore. Alan Duffy scoring their goal. When the teams last clashed at Moore the teams drew 1–1 and all the indications are that these two talented sides will be very close at the final whistle. The game kicks off at 12pm on Sunday.
