Roscommon Camogie Round-up May 16th

Under 14 Feile na nGael Replay.

Padraig Pearses made no mistake second time round in the replayed Linda Madden Under 14 Feile na nGael final on Tuesday evening last in Athleague gaining victory on the score-line of 5 goals 1 pt to 1 pt. Padraig Pearses made the ideal start and were 2 goals up within the opening 5 minutes. They continued to dominate and had scored another 1 goal 1 pt prior to half-time. Four Roads had their only score of the game a free from their centre-fielder and captain, Oonagh Kelly in the 15th minute. Padraig Pearses added two further goals before the end of the game. Both teams travel to Tipperary and Waterford in the middle of June. Both teams are in Division 3 and could meet in the knock out stages. Padraig Pearses are being hosted by a Club from Tipperary and Four Roads are being hosted by a Club from Waterford.
After the game the Under 14 cup was presented to the Padraig Pearses captain by Geraldine Beattie Greene.

Under 14 League

The 2nd Round of the Under 14 League takes place this Tuesday evening with Four Roads at home to Athleague, Oran at home to St. Dominic’s and Tulsk at home to Roscommon Gaels. All games commence at 7.00 p.m. The Under 14 League fixtures are being co-ordinated by Linda Madden. All home clubs are to text the result to the Co-Ordinator.

Get Active, Get Healthy Spring League

The final round of the ‘Get Active, Get Healthy’ Sponsored Spring League takes place on this Saturday evening at 7.00 p.m. in Rockfield when Oran host Athleague. Four Roads defeated Oran on Sunday last by 1 goal 4 pts to 1 goal 2 pts .
The final of the competition is fixed for Sunday, 29th May at 2.00 p.m. in Athleague.

Under 10 Blitz

The first Under 10 outdoor blitz took place on Friday evening last in Rockfield with 5 Clubs taking part namely, Four Roads, Oran, Roscommon Gaels, St. Dominic’s and Tulsk.

Roscommon Camogie Church Gate Collection

The Annual Camogie Church Gate Collection takes place this year on 11th & 12th June, 2016.

Connacht Final

The Connacht Final between Roscommon Junior team and Galway Intermediate team will take place on Friday, 3rd June 2016 at a Roscommon venue. More details later.

Caman to Connacht

The Caman to Connacht for all Under 12 teams takes place in Pearse Stadium, Galway on Bank Holiday Monday, 6th June. All Clubs in the County are requested to register and attend . All teams who attend will be in with a chance of getting to play in Croke Park later on in the year.
