Running
Park Run, the free, weekly, timed 5k event which begins in Lough Key Forest Park tomorrow (Saturday) at 9:30am. Register at parkrun.ie , you’ll be instructed to print your allocated barcode and then you’re ready to take part.
Gaelic Games
The Warm n’Cosy Homes Junior A Football Championship gets under way tomorrow evening, click here for fixtures and to vote in our Poll
There is one rescheduled game from the Mulryan Construction Intermediate Football Championship – Kilmore and Oran meet in O’Rourke Park at 7pm.
Ladies Gaelic
The Roscommon Ladies Footballers face Leitrim in the TG4 Connacht Intermediate Championship play-off on Sunday at 3:30pm in Fr. O’Hara Park, Charlestown. Read the team announcement here
Pool
The first leg of the County Pool Shield Final, between The Central Bar Elphin and Sorohans of Ballyleague takes place tonight at 10pm in Elphin with the second leg taking place in Ballyleague tomorrow at 9pm
Cycling
The Lough Key Classic Cycling Sportive takes place this Sunday from Boyle with the choice of 60km or 120km loops throughout North Roscommon. Find out more here
On the international scene, Roscommon’s Daire Feeley and Team iTap compete in the Lincoln Grand Prix on Sunday.
Soccer
The Cup Competitions are the focus of this weekend’s Roscommon and District Football League Fixtures.
This Sunday at 2pm the Roscommon and District League Grounds, Lecarrow plays host to the meeting of Ballinasloe Town and Galway Premier Division side Athenry FC in the Connacht Cup Final. Read Vincent Brook’s preview here

Athleague play Four Roads in the Senior League Final in Athleague on Sunday at 4pm.
