Roscommon town native, and performance artist Anthony Keigher aka XNTHONY, takes to the Roscommon Arts Centre stage with his backing singers, The Penny Slots, this Saturday May 7th at 9pm with their hilarious show ‘DOUZE’.
In 2015 Pop Star XNTHONY set out for Eurovision glory. Armed with as many fizzy pop songs as he could muster, he and his backing singers, The Penny Slots, took Dublin by storm. They believed they were on the cusp of representing Ireland in the Eurovision in 2016. Except they weren’t. But this Roscommon native won’t give up that easily. XNTHONY is making another comeback equipped with a whole host of songs to convince you to support them… when they get there… eventually.
Anthony is a graduate of NCAD, has a masters in performance from Goldsmiths University of London and has presented his work nationwide at festivals and galleries such as Solstice Festival in Cork, Catalyst Belfast as well as ‘DOUZE’ becoming a smash hit show at the 2015 Dublin Fringe Festival. Roscommon Arts Centre are very excited to welcome back Anthony, a former staff member, through their doors… although on this occasion he will be taking centre stage…exactly where he deserves to be!
So if you are a Eurovision fan….or just like a hilarious night out with a difference..get your tickets now for ‘DOUZE’ from the arts centre on 09066 25824 or www.roscommonartscentre.ie
