Roscommon GAA is issuing a final call for entries to their annual Gaeltacht Grant Competition which forms part of their promotion of the Irish language.
Applications are invited from full time secondary school students living in County Roscommon and each grant is worth €200.
It should be noted that successful candidates from 2014 and 2015 may not take part in this competition and also that two of the grants will be awarded to students who have taken part in the GAA Scor na nÓg competitions.
Students are to apply with a short essay as Gaeilge (300 words) entitled: “An Cumann Lúthchleas Gael sa bhliain 2016” plus an application form which can be downloaded at www.gaaroscommon.ie/culture
Completed applications should be forwarded to Michael Mac Ghiolla Dhuinn, Oifigeach Cultúir agus Gaeilge, Roscommon GAA County Board Office, Racecourse Road, Roscommon on or before this Friday April 29th, or via e-mail at [email protected] Applications after this date will not be accepted.
Also, applications without a G.A.A. Membership Number or written clarification from the secretary of Camogie/Ladies Club will not be entertained.
