Elphin 2-15 Western Gaels 2-15

The Seniors played out a very exciting 2-15 apiece Draw with Western Gaels on Sunday. Best for Elphin were Brian Oates, Cathal Brady, Fintan and Gerry Cregg, who scored 0-5 and 1-2 respectively, Martin McCaffrey and Aidan Murray, who scored 0-3 each.
Their next game is in the Championship against St Faithleachs on Saturday May 8th.

Junior Team

The Junior’s game against Castlerea was cancelled. Their next game is in May.

New York

Best of luck to Fintan and the Roscommon Seniors against New York on Sunday and safe journey to all our supporters who are also heading over.

Elphin-Ballinameen Results and Fixtures

The Minors were defeated by Éire Óg on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-13.

The U-16 team retained their Division 3 status after a very entertaining and hard fought 3-7 to 1-6 win over Kilglass-St Barrys. The Panel was: Conor Dorr, Gilbert Muldowney, Cathal Gormley, Michael Feely, David Wynne, Shane Lavin, Hugo Brady, Shane O’Neill, Jake Kennedy, Cian O’Sullivan, Nathan Clarke, Aidan Main, Emmet Durr, Ronan Glancy, Shane McGrath, Gavin Morris, Niall Higgins, Dylan Casey-McGovern, Daniel Toope. Well done to all involved.
Training has been changed to Mondays and Fridays at 7pm to try and accommodate those who are doing exams. There will be a number of challenge games organised in the coming weeks.

The U-14s are away to St Michaels on Thursday at 7pm.

The U-12’s played a thrilling game against Oran, losing out 10-8 to 6-6. The result could have been a lot closer were it not for Oran’s goalkeeper, who was excellent throughout. Best for Elphin-Ballinameen were John Finnerty, Darragh Callaghan, Darragh Gilligan, Evan Gunn, Ellie Brady, Daniel Christie, Sam O’Rourke. Adam Dwyer, Henry Dowd and Michael Sharkey giving it their all. A special mention to Dylan Scott who had an awesome game, playing in a new position at Full Back.

Coaching for U-10, U-8 and U-6s continues on Saturday at 10am. Parents are reminded that all players must wear a mouth guard.

Gaeltacht Grant Competition

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot – numbers drawn were 19, 20, 28 and 29. The Lucky Dip winners were Mona & Regina Fallon, Jim Browne, Noel Flanagan and Pauline Brady. This week’s Draw will be held in An Bothar Rua and the Jackpot stands at €6,800, play now at locallotto.ie .
