Pride of place this week goes to the ladies U-16 team who captured the first tittle of the year. The Girls travelled to Fuerty to take on Kilbride in the Division 3 championship final. The team bug deep and worked hard all over the field and to get the vital goal to push them back in front. A stronger closing quarter ensured the team pushed on and secured the win. Final score Western Gaels 3-11 Kilbride 3-04.
This was a very hard fought win with both teams been very evenly matched, with great skill by all on display. The club would like to thank all the players, management team of James, Dermot and Phil and sponsors for their support and hard work during the campaign.
