Roscommon town chosen to pilot “Minor Ailment Scheme”

Roscommon is one of four towns in the country to be chosen to pilot the Department of Health’s “Minor Ailment Scheme”.

From June 1, medical card holders will be able to get treatment for common illnesses from a community pharmacy without need for a GP visit. The Pilot will last for three months and further details will be announced shortly.
The other towns chosen are Kells, Macroom and Edenderry.
