Roscommon GAA Coaching and Games Development are hosting a workshop on Decision Making skills this Saturday, April 16th.
The Workshop will consist on a Presentation followed by outdoor, practical sessions for both Hurling and Football. The presentation will be given by former Tipperary intercounty minor, U21 and senior hurler Damien Young, who is currently a Lecturer in Strength & Conditioning in Limerick IT. During this presentation, three main topics will be addressed:
1. What is decision making.
2. Decision making in a game.
3. How you as a coach can adapt your activities to assist and challenge the player’s decision making.
The Presentation takes place in Hannon’s Hotel, Roscommon town, at 10:15am sharp and will be followed at 11:45am by practical sessions in Dr Hyde Park and Roscommon Community College. Damien Young will take the Hurling session with Roscommon GAA Senior Football Team Coach Liam McHale taking the Football session
Following the workshop Coaches will have a greater understanding of how to design practice activities which will help players make better decisions in games.
