The Funeral takes place tomorrow of Pat Coyle, late of Kiltoom, who died suddenly last Friday while taking part in the Tour of Flanders Cyclo in Belgium.

Pat became became ill at the Kwaremont Square section of the stage, the steepest section of the tough climb and passed away despite the despite the efforts of Red Cross and emergency personnel at the scene.
He was no stranger to the event having taken part on fourteen occasions and was well known in the Irish Cycling Community through his founding of the Shannonside Cycling Club in Athlone and his coaching work.

Pat is survived by his wife Angela, sons Eamonn, Alan and Darren, Alan’s Fiancée Anita, brothers George and Damien, Aunts Betty Kelleghen and Carmel Gilhooley, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.

His funeral arrangement are as follows:
Reposing at St Brigid’s Funeral Home, Brideswell on this evening (Friday) from 4pm until 7pm. Removal from his home on Saturday to the Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. House private on Saturday please.
