Tomorrow morning seven men from the greater Rooskey area will attempt the unprecedented task of running a mile in each of the 32 counties in the space of 32 hours. This unique “32-32-32 Challenge” is in aid of The Sunflower Rooms Autism Unit, Knockcroghery.
Niall Kilcrann, Gerry Donoghue, Brian Hall, Ultan Flynn, Kevin Hoey, Joe Rogers and Fintan Cruse have been planning and training since October and all seven are now ready to run the 32 miles in the 32 counties in 32 hours together, with no splitting up. If somebody gets injured, he will have to pull out of the challenge as the timeline is so tight there is no room for delays. The runners will be supported along the way by two teams, one always working ahead of them preparing the next venue for the challenge.
Runners and walkers are welcome to join in with the lads and everyone who contributes €10 to the The Sunflower Rooms Autism Unit will be entered into a Draw, which will take place in Cox’s Steakhouse on Saturday night.
