The 2016 County Roscommon Fleadh Cheoil takes place in Elphin this weekend with traditional Music, Song and Dance throughout the town over three days.

The Fleadh will be officially opened on Sunday at 4:30pm by Tom Shine, Chairperson of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Roscommon. The opening ceremony will be followed by the presentation of the Gradam an Fleadh to Elphin man Cyril McDermott, for his contribution to traditional arts.
At 6pm that evening the Dancing Competitions will take place in the Elphin Community Centre and there will be a Singing Session in An Bothar Rua, guided by the renowned Frances Murray.
The remainder of the competitions will get under way in Elphin Community College on Monday from 10am and the full timetable is outlined below.
