Golf, Gaelic, Hurling, Handball, Soccer, Camogie, Cycling and Ladies Gaelic feature on another busy and long weekend in the Roscommon Sport scene.

Friday

The Sonas Easter Open takes place at Athlone Golf Club, Hodson Bay, from today until Monday. Ladies and Gents Singles Stableford, Visitors Entry Fee €10.

Carrick Golf Club are hosting their Ladies and Gents Open Singles. Full details of all their events here

Boyle Golf Club host their Fundraising Classic throughout the weekend. The format is a four person rumble and the Entry fee is €60 per team.

The first of this weekend’s Gaelic Football action gets under way at 5pm in Division Four of the Adult Football Leagues. See the full Roscommon GAA fixtures list here

Oisin Naughton and Darren Beatty take on Galway opposition in the Connacht Junior Doubles Handball Final at 6pm

The Annual Sean Keane Cup Hurling Tournament begins in Athleague at 7pm. It opens with Tremane taking on Padraig Pearses and that’s followed at 8:30pm by Athleague versus Roscommon Gaels

Saturday

Tomorrow the unbeaten Roscommon Senior Hurlers take on Monaghan in the Allianz Hurling League Division 3A Final at 4pm in Ballyshannon.

Ahead of that the Roscommon Minor Hurlers take on Antrim in the Leinster Hurling League Shield Semi-Final at 12:30pm in Termonfeckin, the Roscommon Minor Footballers host Longford in the Connacht Minor League at 1pm in Kilglass and the Roscommon Minor Camogie team host Meath in the All-Ireland B Championship at 2pm in Rockfield.

The Connacht 40×20 Doubles Handball Finals continue today with Aengus Cunningham & Cormac O’Brien, Cathal O’Connor & Michael Egan and Fiona Tully & Jennifer McCormack in action in Moycullen and Ballaghaderreen.

At 5:15pm Roscommon town’s Denis Buckley and his Connacht teammates take on Leinster in the PRO12 Rugby League. The full team announcement, including quotes from Pat Lam, can viewed here.

This weekend’s Roscommon and District Football League Fixtures features twelve games, over three days in three competitions with the first games getting under way at 7:30pm. See the full fixtures list here.

Sunday

The Roscommon Junior Camogie Team take on Dublin in the Irish Daily Star National League Division 3 at 2pm in Knockcroghery.

The Roscommon Senior Footballers host Mayo in the Allianz Football League at 3:30pm in Dr Hyde Park. Read the team announcement here. Adult Tickets purchased before Sunday will cost just €10 and are available from all SuperValu stores in the county and Centra Stores in Roscommon and Strokestown. If you can’t make it there’s live coverage on TG4, Shannonside FM and supporters abroad can watch on GAAGo.

Monday

Finally, on Monday the Roscommon Minor Ladies Footballers take on Galway in the Connacht Championship at 2pm in Kilbride.
