Pupils and Staff from Abbeycartron NS Elphin joined with schools all over Ireland to celebrate Proclamation Day yesterday.
The Proclamation of Independence was read by children in the school and then the Irish Flag was raised by Lt. Hugh Lynn, who is an Officer of the Army Reserve and a Teacher in the school. The children also shared their own Proclamation and finally they sang the National Anthem and played traditional Irish music.
