Small numbers of Sheep on offer at Roscommon Mart

There were small numbers of Sheep on offer at Roscommon Mart yesterday (March 2nd) and overall there was a slightly easier trade for both Hoggets and Cast Ewes.

There was a smaller entry of Ewes with Lambs at foot; however there was a good trade and high clearance of lots.

Sample Prices were as follows

Ewe Hoggets – 48.50 kgs made €120, 43.50 kgs made €93

Mixed Hoggets – 47.40 kgs made €100,

Wether Hoggets – 43.10 kgs made €95, 41 kgs made €85

Cast Ewes – made from €60 to €120 per lot

Ewe with Single Lamb at foot – made up to €200 per unit

Ewe with Twin Lambs at foot – made up to €236 per unit
