St Dominics 50/50 Draw

The Club congratulates Anne Gately (nee Miley), c/o Emer Miley, Sandfield who won €1,210 in the Club’s weekly draw. 50/50 draw next week Saturday 5th March will be in Ned’s, Knockcroghery. Senior Football

The monthly meeting of the Senior Football Club takes place on this Tuesday night 2nd March at 9pm in the meeting room. Division 4 Football League: we play St. Croans in Enfield at 11am this Sunday, 6th March.

Senior Hurling

Training for our senior hurlers takes place on Saturday evenings at 7pm. Everyone is asked to attend. All newcomers welcome.

Camogie

Camogie is back for our Senior camogie team. Training for the 2016 season has started on Tuesday evenings at 8pm in St. Johns FC Astroturf pitch. New members and old-timers always welcome! Best of luck for the year girls. Training for the U14s continues, details of sessions will be sent out via text. An Award One hurling course will take place in Roscommon Community College on Friday March 18th, Saturday March 19th and Saturday March 26th. Anyone interested in either of these courses please contact John or Timmy.

Scor

Scór Sinsir Connacht final will take place on Saturday 12th March in St Johns Hall, Lecarrow. St Dominics will be represented by Sylvia Kilcline, Mary Kenny, Anita O’Keefe, Noel Dervin and Dave McCormack in the Ballad Group competition. Sincere thanks to all who have taken part.

Ladies Football

Training commenced for the Junior ladies on Friday evening last with great numbers in attendance. Despite the heavy conditions underfoot a good session was had by all, let’s keep the momentum going and get down to our next training session, details to follow on our group app.

Minor Hurling

St. Dominic’s U14 hurlers started their championship with a home match on Saturday 27th February. They came up against a stronger Four Roads team on the day and unfortunately while the result did not go their way the lads battled to the final whistle. We hope to run an Award One Hurling coaching course in Roscommon community college on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Saturday 26th of March. We need names as soon as possible. Fifteen plus coaches are needed in order to run this course. Please send names to Proinsias on 0868603816. Indoor training for U10 hurlers continues at St. Johns Community Centre each Sunday from 7pm to 8pm, all welcome.

ABC Nursery program

Camogie and Minor Hurling will be running an ABC nursery program for all girls and boys born in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The nursery will take place on Sunday evenings between 6pm and 7pm in St. Johns Community Centre. It will run for six weeks starting on Sunday 7th February at 6pm.
