Registration and Membership
Registration night is this Friday Feb 5th. Forms are available to download from the website and can be returned to any club officer once completed.
Membership for 2016 is as follows
Juvenile €65
Family (2 adults+1 child u18) €80
Family(2 adults +2 children u18) €130
Family (2 adults +>3 children u18) €150
Student (over 18) €65 or €50( if part of a family unit that is paying a family membership)
Adult Player €70
Adult Non playing members €50
O.A.P. €20

Camogie
U14 camogie training starts again this coming week in order to prepare for the U14 Féile championship which will begin in March. All players should be in the Hyde for indoor training on Tuesday’s from 7-8pm and in Lisnamult for outdoor training on Saturdays from 11-12.30pm. Team management for 2016 includes Mary McNeill, Tom O Farrell, John Casey and Tricia Torpey.

Senior Hurling
The Senior Hurlers take to the field for the first time in 2016 this Friday @ 8pm in Lisnamult against Castlebar. Best of luck Darren, Noel, Tom and Sean and all the players in the coming year. Support would be greatly appreciated.

U16 Football League
On Saturday 6th Feb our U-16 team take on Castlerea St Kevins in O’Rourke Park at 3pm.
Best of Luck to all the lads and supporters be sure to bring your voices.

REFEREES WANTED
Roscommon GAA are in the process of recruiting personnel who are interested in taking up refereeing. If you are in full time work, seeking employment or still going to school or college this is an ideal way to earn extra money and make new friends while keeping yourself healthy and fit in the process. If you think you have what it takes to referee a senior county final, a Connacht final or indeed an All-Ireland Senior Final, this is where the dream begins.

“25” Card Drive in the Hyde
“25” card playing in the Hyde continues on Monday nights. The regular clientele are enjoying the cards, the craic and the cuppa. It takes place every Monday night @8.30pm in the Hyde centre. There is a €5 entry with cash prize on the night. All are welcome.

Connacht GAA Wheelchair Hurling
The Connacht GAA Wheelchair Hurling management wish to invite anyone from Galway, Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon or Mayo who wishes to join the Connacht GAA Wheelchair Hurling Panel to an open training session this Saturday 6th February from 12pm until 1.30 in Barnacarroll Hall near Claremorris in County Mayo. All equipment will be provided for anyone wishing to try it out. The Connacht team take part in the All-Ireland Inter-pro league and championship. Teams are six-a-side in an indoor hall with modified hurleys for protection.

Defibrillator Training Spring 2016
Roscommon Gaels is currently planning its next Defibrillator Training Classes. Anyone interested in taking this most important please contact John Donnellan (086-0402081).
We would ask all club members to take a few minutes to look at a short video on how, having a defibrillator available and trained responders, recently saved an Athlone GAA player’s life.

Connacht GAA Coaching Conference
This year’s Connacht GAA Coaching Conference will take place on Saturday March 5th in the Connacht Centre in Bekan. A full programme of events is planned for the day and is geared towards adult senior club coaches; spaces are limited so booking is essential at a cost of 25 Euro which will include lunch. Please check Connacht GAA Coaching website for full details of the conference. If your club is interested in sending a coach please contact Willie Hegarty ASAP to confirm booking with payment

Three club coaching workshops in February
Roscommon Coaching and Games Development are holding three coaching workshops this February for all our club coaches in both football and hurling.
(1)        Player performance coaching workshop
Roscommon Coaching and Games Development will be holding a Player Performance Coaching Workshop for all our club coaches on Saturday February 20th in Hannon’s Hotel Roscommon Town and a must for all club coaches from U12 to adult in all GAA codes. This workshop will focus on player performance. The presentation will be given by Master Tutor Philip Kerr from Derry who was guest speaker at the National Coaching Conference in Croke Park two years ago and has agreed to come to Roscommon.
