Shannon Gaels Dinner Dance

The clubs dinner dance will take place this Friday night in Bush Hotel. The club will be honouring the men and ladies teams who won county titles last year. Meal will be served at 8pm. Music by Heebee Jeebees.

Operation Transformation

The club are running Operation Transformation this year in conjunction with SASTA commencing Tuesday 9th February in club rooms Pairc na nGael, Cortober. We aim to try and get everybody out and try to become more fit and healthy for 2016. We will have some talks during the event and we will also have organised walks and exercise classes. Put 9th February in your diary and join us as we all try to loose a few pounds.


Registration fees are now due. Please forward payment to Michael Lynch, Registrar or underage players can forward payment to their team manager.

National Draw

Anyone who has tickets for the GAA National Draw is asked to return ticket counterfoil and remittances to treasurer Ciaran Gannon by Saturday 6th Feb. You can contact Ciaran on 086 8502888.


The last lotto draw took place in Thatch Pub, numbers drawn 1,5,19,27. There was no winner, the €20 winners were Jimmy Deane, Lodge, Drumlion; Patsy Cullen, Drumshanbo; Kenneth O’Dowd, Rynn; Noel Sharkey, Cavetown; Kathleen Durr, Elphin. Next draw takes place in the Four Provinces Saturday 6th February. Jackpot now €1,800.
