St Michaels GAA update March 22nd

St Michaels GAA
Juniors

The junior team (pictured above) were beaten by St. Faithleachs in the division 5 league at Ardcarne Park on Friday last. Final score 2-07 to 1-04

Under 16

St Michaels u16 boys played their third game in the Division 2 league away to Oran on Sunday morning last. Despite the difficult conditions as a result of the heavy overnight rain, this was a good game of football, with our lads going in 5 points down at the break. On resumption of the second half, St Michaels scored 2 goals and were very unlucky with a number of other scoring chances. The home side remained ahead on the scoreboard, winning by 3 points in the end. Hard luck to the team and management after a great effort.

Under 16 Girls

The under 16 girls were in hard luck in Mulhern park on Sunday when they were beaten. They play Michael Glaveys at home in round 4 on Sunday next at 4pm.

Under 13 Girls

The under 13 girls travelled to Kiltubrid on Wednesday evening where they had an enjoyable challenge match with the hosts. Thanks to all who travelled.

Scór

Good luck to Aisling Clarke who will represent County Roscommon in the Recitation in the Connacht Final of Scór Sinsir on 25th March in Tubbercurry.

St Michaels GAA Lotto

There was no jackpot winner of the club lotto which took place in Beirnes of Battlebridge at the weekend. Niall Daly and Molly Fryer came close by matching three numbers each. The jackpot is now €8,000 and the next draw will be on April 2nd.

St Patrick’s Day Parade

Well done to those who represented the club in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Cootehall and Boyle.
