A winning weekend for Roscommon Camogie teams

Junior Team win – Littlewoods Division 3 League Round 4

The Roscommon Junior Camogie Team made the long trip to Tyrone on Sunday last, the team showed great determination to defeat Tyrone on a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-5. Roscommon got off to a dream start when Chloe Whyte Lennon put the sliotar to the back of Tyrone goal in the 5 min. Roscommon went on to score a further 4 points in the first half, Tyrone scoring 3 points. At half time Roscommon led 1-4 to 0-3.

Roscommon started strongly in the second half scoring two further points, however Tyrone kept the pressure on and added to 2 points also. In the 25th min Michaela Fallon scored victory with a well taken goal for Roscommon. Final score: Roscommon 2-6 Tyrone 0-5.

Minor Team win

The Minor Camogie Team comprehensively seen off Cavan to book to place their place in the All Ireland Minor C Final on 8th April. Match report here.
The Roscommon Camogie Board wishes to sincerely St Dominics GAA club for making their grounds available at short notice on Saturday so that this re-fixture could be played.

The Minor Team face Tyrone next Sunday in last round of the championship. Venue will be confirmed later. Please check the Roscommon Camogie Facebook page for updates
