St Brigids GAA are hosting a “Think Tank” for everyone interested in the All-Ireland Sheep Shearing and Wool Handling Championships this Wednesday, March 1st.
The All-Ireland Sheep Shearing and Wool Handling Championships will be held, in conjunction with the Irish Sheep Shearers Association, at the Club’s Grounds on the June Bank Holiday weekend. The Club are looking for a massive effort from the local community to make it a memorable weekend. They believe that the event will be of huge benefit to local businesses and will be a boost for the development of the local area.
St Brigids are putting in place a programme of events for this weekend including Food expo’s, fashion shows, vintage rallies, sheep dog trials, sheep racing, country music, amusements and children’s entertainment. They would appreciate as many people as possible to get involved in this local community event. We are open to all suggestions that will benefit the overall event and that is the aim of Wednesday’s meeting, which will begin at 9pm in the Clubhouse.
