The (Evening) Herald are reporting that the man who died following injuries received in a crash at Ardcarne in the early hours of hours of Wednesday morning was Crumlin native Dylan Byrne.
Mr. Byrne was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Sligo University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, a man aged 31, and a second passenger, a man aged 37, were also taken to Sligo University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Herald are also reporting that the survivors of the Ardcarne crash were arrested after receiving treatment, in relation to an attempted robbery in Sligo. They were later released without charge.
