Shannon Gaels Ladies

Our Senior Ladies were beaten in the second round of the league by St Faithleachs on Sunday. They play Boyle next Sunday 29th in Croghan at 12 noon, Please support.

U14 Ladies were out last Thursday 19th May, Final score – Kilmore / Elphin 1 – 6 Shannon Gaels 3 – 9. They play Western Gaels this Wednesday 25th at 7pm in Frenchpark.

U12 Ladies were out last Saturday 21st May, Final score – St. Bridgets, Team B 8 – 8 v Shannon Gaels Team B 3 – 6. The girls now play Kilbride this Tuesday evening the 24th of May.

The annual poker classic will be held in Glancy’s Bar this Wednesday 25th at 9.30 pm sharp. We would ask you all to support this fundraiser. Bon Voyage to Aideen and Sorcha as they depart to the US on their J1’s.

Thanks to everyone that helped with the U16 Connaught final that was held in Croghan last Wednesday. Thanks to Chris,Tony and the FAS Men for their work in and around the pitch.

Mens update

Underage
Our U14’s were due to play Oran last Thursday evening but Oran conceded the game to them. These lads go straight through to the league final where they will play the winners of St. Michaels/St. Aidans. Date and venue to be confirmed.

Intermediates
Our Intermediate team lost their Tancey Cup game at the weekend against Western Gaels.

Roscommon Seniors
Well done to Roscommon team and management on their great win over Leitrim at the weekend.

Shannon Gaels Summer Camp

The club is running a summer camp again this year from 4th July to 8th July. This camp has always been very popular and spaces will be limited. You can book your child’s place by contacting Tracey on 0862441985. Cost per child first child €70, second €60 and third €50. Age 6 to 12 yrs.

Shannon Gaels take part in Carrick’s Fittest Club

You may have heard of Ireland’s Fittest Family now watch Carrick’s Fittest Club – 7 local clubs battle it out to win the ultimate title! Watch competitors get put through their paces at the Quay by top Irish Army Fitness instructors from the Curragh. Shannon Gaels are one of these 7 clubs and Fintan Sweeney, Tess Murtagh, Shane Surlis and Elaine McDermott are taking on the challenge. Look out for sponsor cards in local shops and pubs and make sure your there on 6th June from 2 to 6pm at the Quays, Carrick on Shannon as part of Carrick Carnival.
