Senator Frank Feighan is highlighting two upcoming information days this week which could provide valuable opportunities for local companies interested in supplying goods and services to the Centre Parcs Longford Forest in Ballymahon.

“As part of its commitment to source goods and services locally where possible, Center Parcs is bringing its procurement team across from the UK for two ‘Meet the Buyers Events’.

“The first event takes place in the Mullingar Park Hotel this Wednesday, May 31st, 8am-12pm and 3pm-7pm while the second event takes place in the Longford Arms Hotel on Thursday, June 1st, 10am-5pm.

“These two events will provide a great opportunity for individuals and businesses interested in working with and supplying Center Parcs to find out what products and services the company hopes to source locally, and what standards will be required from suppliers.

“Center Parcs also say that for those interested in working for Center Parcs, a recruitment date will be scheduled at a later date.

“Center Parcs is an incredible €233m development which will see the construction of a forest holiday village with a capacity for up to 2,500 guests. It’s estimated that 750 jobs will be created during the construction phase with 1,000 permanent jobs when the holiday complex is complete. The complex will open to guests in 2019.”
