Four Roads Ladies Football

Winning week for Four Roads Ladies Football Teams

Four Roads Ladies Football

Four Roads Ladies Football Teams were very busy last week with girls playing at all age levels and each of them deserved to be named as team of the week.

U12
Our girls travelled to Elphin on Friday evening to play the Elphin/Kilmore team. The girls settled early and played some lovely football, and emerged victorious. Thanks to all the parents who came out and supported the girls.
They are now down to play St Faithleachs in Four Roads on Sunday evening next at 6pm. Please support. Training continues on Thursday evening at 7:00 at the pitch.

U14
The girls started their league campaign on Wednesday evening last against St Croans in Four Roads. It was an entertaining game with Four Roads gaining the upper hand in the final minutes to gain a victory.
They are now down to play Roscommon Gaels in Lisnamult on Wednesday evening at 7pm – please come out and support the girls.

Junior
The Junior ladies played Castlerea on Sunday morning. This was a must win game for both teams, as the winner of this game would progress to the county league final. After a nervy start by both teams, the game settled down and there was only a point between the sides throughout the game. At the final whistle Four Roads emerged the winners by a single point.
They are now due to play St Mary’s Tulsk in the Final on Saturday evening next. Please come out and support the girls. The final is set for Oran pitch.

Congratulations
To Aisling Treacy and the County U14 team who took part in the All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise last weekend.

Best wishes
To Oonagh Kelly and the county U16 team in the Connacht A final on Friday evening in the Connacht GAA Centre at 7:30pm.

We would like to wish the U14 camoige team good luck in the Feile final replay next Monday against St Dominics.
