The Roscommon Ladies Football Adult leagues, sponsored by Hannon’s Hotel, continued last weekend with another full set of fixtures taken place in all four divisions.

This was the final set of fixtures bar a few re-arranged games. Results from Sunday 7th May:

Division 1:
St Brigids 9-08 Western Gaels 4-05,
Strokestown 4-10 Clann na nGael 3-10
Kilglass Gaels 1-05 Kilbride 6-08.

Division 2:
Ballinameen 3-07 St Ciarans 1-18,
Oran 1-06 Eire Og 6-12.
Padraig Pearses 5-15 Michael Glavey’s 2-11.

Division 3:
Boyle 4-05 Shannon Gaels 7-17,
St Dominics 4-13 St Faithleahs 5-09,

Division 4:
Kilmore 3-07 Four Roads 3-07,
Castlerea 2-11 St Croans 1-11.

MCL Agri supplies Under 16 competition final line ups complete:

Last bank holiday weekend (Monday) saw the first of the MCL Agri supplies Lanesborough U16 championships take place and this Sunday gone bye saw the remainder of the finals take place.
A big congratulations to all winners and also a big well done to the loosing finalists, it’s still a huge achievement to reach a county final: Here is the full set of results.
Division 1 A Final:
Clann na nGael 7-18 St Dominics 0-01.

Division 1B Final:
St Brigids 5-08 Boyle 6-13.

Division 2 A Final,
Castlerea 3-11 Kilbride 3-07.

Division 2 B Final:
Shannon Gaels 3-05 Kilmore/Elphin 5-05.

Division 3 A Final
St Faithleahs V Eire Og (to be played at a later date),

Division 3 B Final
St Barrys 2-08 Strokestown 2-04.

Division 4 final:
St Michaels 1-04 St Ciarans 7-17.

U14 League begins:

The 2017 U14 league (kindly sponsored by Lawlor and Hynes Construction Four Roads) gets under way next Wednesday (10th May) evening in all four divisions with the first round fixtures as follows. Remember first named team as usual has home venue and all games kick off at 7pm:

Division 1:

St Brigids V Elphin/Kilmore (Thursday 11th May),
Western Gaels V Eire Og.

Division 2:
St Dominic’s V St Barry’s,

U12 season continues

Last weekend saw the beginning of the U12 championship season with round 1 being completed. Here is a roundup of the results.
Group A:
Boyle 3-00 Padraig Pearses 4-02,
Shannon Gaels 0-06 Oran 4-04,
Clann na nGael 3-08 Strokestown 1-00.

Group B:
Eire Og 2-03 St Barry’s 2-02,
St Croans 11-02 St Ciaran’s 4-06,

County U16 Update:

Our Kildea Concrete, James Irwin Construction, XLnt signs sponsored U16’s face Sligo in Ballintubber (St Croans) this Friday the 12th May in their final group match. If they defeat Sligo they will have guaranteed their place in the A final against Galway which would be a terrific achievement.
On another note the management would like to thank the generous sponsorship they have received from Flemings Supervalu of Roscommon which provide fruit and refreshments for the squad in all their games.

County U14 Update

The U14’s continue their development when the play in the national U14 Blitz which this year will be held in Rathleague, Portlaoise on this coming Saturday 13th May.
