As our games begin again for the coming year it is extremely important that all players are fully registered before they play for any team this year. Membership fees were set at the AGM back in Dec 2016 and cost the following:
Family = €100
Adult single = £50
Senior Players (over 18) Ladies & Men = €100
Please ensure you have your membership paid before playing any games so as you are covered under the GAA player injury insurance scheme.

Annual Lotto Renewals:

Our Annual Lotto sales drive is upon us again as all tickets are due for renewal at the end of March so your local Lotto rep will be calling over the coming weeks to seek your continued support of our club Lotto. As always there are lots of payment options from Cash/Cheque/Direct Debit through our online paypal function on our website. There will also be a draw in the 1st week in April for all renewed members for 5 Cash prizes of €100 so you have a chance of getting your money back straight away.

Underage Coaching Mornings:

The underage coaching mornings for boys and girls for U6/U8/U10’s is back on Saturday 25th March at 10.30am in Frenchpark. All kids are welcome to attend for what is a great morning’s action and it starts at 10.30am and finishes at 11.45am

Men’s Football:

Minor Team:
The Michael Cooney & Sons Ltd sponsored minor team are back in action next Sunday morning with they play Kilglass/St. Barry’s in Frenchpark at 11:00.

U-16 Team:
The Michael Cooney & Sons Ltd sponsored U-16 team took on Kilbride in round 4 of the Division 3 league on Sunday morning last. Both teams worked hard all over the field, Western Gaels lead going into the closing stages but some well taken score from Kilbride saw the lead change, but Western Gaels fought back and were appoint ahead going into injury time. Kilbride got the final score with the last kick of the game, this tied the game at 2-8 apiece.

Ladies Football:

U-16 Team:
The U-16 ladies played two games last week, on Friday morning the girls took on Eire Og in Frenchpark in round two of the championship. In poor weather condition both sides had to work hard for their score, some well taken goals from Eire Og ensured that they secured the win. On Sunday evening the team played Strokestown in Strokestown. This was a hard fought game and the girls lead for much of the match but Stroketown finished the stronger and got two vital goals in the closing minutes to secure the win. The girls welcome St. Faithleachs to Frenchpark next Sunday evening for round 4.
