Men’s Football:
Senior Team: Western Gaels 2-9 Roscommon Gaels 2-7
The Devine and Co Chartered Accountants sponsored senior team opened their Div 1 league campaign with a well deserved win against Roscommon Gaels on Saturday night last in Lisnamult. Goals in either half by Finbarr Cregg and Derek Moran put us in control and despite a late goal we held on for the win.

Intermediate Team: Western Gaels B 0-11 Fuerty 2-12
The intermediate team were also in action in the opening round of the Div 2 league against Fuerty in Frenchpark. 2 Goals in the 1st half were the main difference between the teams and Fuerty were able to keep a conformable 5-6pt advantage throughout the 2nd half winning out at the end.

U 16 Team: St.Aidans 2-13 Western Gaels 1-8.
The M Cooney & Sons Ltd sponsored U 16 team were beaten by St.Aidans in Ballyforan in the opening round of the Div 3 league on Sunday morning last.
We play St. Ciarans at home next Sunday at 11am in R2 of the league.
Club Registration 2017:
There will be a club registration night held next Friday night 24th Feb at 8pm in the clubhouse. As our games get set to begin again for the coming year it is extremely important that all players are fully registered before they play for any team this year. Membership fees were set at the AGM back in Dec 2016 and cost the following:
Family = €100
Adult single = £50
Senior Players (over 18) Ladies & Men = €100
Please ensure you have your membership paid before playing any games so as you are covered under the GAA player injury insurance scheme.
