Cloonfad United 0-1 Lough Harps

A derby loss to Lough Harps means Cloonfad United will have to fight all the way to the end of the season if we want regain our Premier division berth. This is always keenly contested affair was settled by just one goal midway through the first half when Harps picked up a loose pass in the Cloonfad United defence to score the games only goal. Earlier in the half Darren O’Malley and Bobby Douglas came close to opening the scoring. Cloonfad upped the ante in the second half but never looked like breaking down a strong Harps defence and as pushed further forward its was our opponents who looked more like scoring.

Thanks to all the fans who turned out on a cold night and hope to see you again next Saturday at 7:45pm as we face Kilkerrin in what has now become a must win game.
