St Barrys GAA Table Quiz and Hamper Draw
This Saturday night, December 17th, sees our annual Christmas Table Quiz in Keenan’s. Also taking place on the night, is our Annual Monster Hamper Draw. Tickets for the Hamper are available for €2 each, or 3 for €5.
Darren McGlynn Cup Final: St Barrys/Kilglass 2-8 St Michaels 2-16
Our Under 14 lads were beaten in the final of the Darren McGlynn Memorial Cup this afternoon by a strong St Michael’s team. Michael’s laid the foundations for the victory with a strong first half performance, leading by 14 points at the break. The home side were much better in the second half, but in spite of closing the gap well, they had left themselves too much to do.
Thanks to both sides for a good sporting game, and to Kilglass Gaels who hosted the game. Thanks to the coaches and mentors of the Under 14’s who had a long year.
Scor Na nOg
Well done to our sole Scor Na nOg representatives in the Roscommon Finals last weekend, our Ballad Group. Mentored by Teresa McGlynn and Aisling Hoey, the group performed really well, but didn’t win through in the end. Thanks to Emer, Roisin, Lana, Oisin, and Jack for representing the club so well.
