The Under 18 team were beaten in the Shield Final by Moylough on Saturday, losing a penalty shoot out 4-1.
Ballymoe made a terrible start to the game when they conceded in the first minute and trailed 1 nil at the break in a disappointing performance. However the second half saw an improvement and with 5 minutes left Damien Goggins equalised. Neither team could find a winner in extra time and the contest was decided by spot kicks where Moylough were more clinical.
The team play the premier Cup final next weekend where they will be hoping for better luck against cp ajax.
