Heritage Week
National Heritage Week comes to a close today but there is still lots of things for all the family to do throughout Roscommon today.
Music and Song

Harpist Teresa O’Donnell will perform music by Carolan, Moore, Percy French and classical and contemporary music at Castlecoote House from 3pm.

Traditional Singing and Music in the Cloister of Boyle Abbey.

1916 Commemoration

St. Johns Community Centre, Lecarrow is the venue for Tree Planting Ceremony, Concert and much more from 5pm.

Tours

Athleague-Fuerty Heritage Group are hosting a guided tour of places of significant historical & cultural interest in the parishes of Athleague and Fuerty.

Try the “Woodland Fun Trail” for Kids age 9 to 99 or (Free Admission) at Strokestown Park House.

Tour the only Fully Restored & Working Windmill in the West of Ireland.

Walk the Ballintleva Heritage Trail, meeting at Ballintleva Old School at 3:30pm.

In Castlerea visit “Griffith’s Valuation – a picture of Castlerea and it’s hinterland in the mid 19th Century”.

“Visualising the Stories of Ancient Ireland” in Tulsk.

300 Years of History museum at King House Boyle.
