Our Adult Mens team play St Aidans in Round 2 of the Intermediate Championship on Saturday. The lads will be looking to build on a good win over St Michael’s in the first round. The game is in Tarmonbarry at 5pm.

Under 12 Boys in League Final

Our Under 12 lads qualified for the Division 4 Spring League Final played on Saturday last. Unfortunately, they were beaten against a phsically stronger Western Gaels side on a scoreline of 6-10 to 3-5. The damage was done in the first as the Barry’s defenders struggled to keep up with the skillful Western Gaels forwards. We found scores hard to come by and missed 4 good goal chances. Second half was a more even affair as we grew into the game, but Western Gaels always seemed to be able to up a gear when needed.
Squad: Liam Dempsey, Eoin Halpin,Christy Burke, Dean Rogan, Josh Hannafin, Ruairi Humpston,Cillian Campbell, Mark Rogers,John Mulvihill, Scott Kidd, John Casey, Shane McGuinness, Alex Watts, Adrian Jackson, David Cox, Oisin Gallagher,Maurice Deehan, Donnacha Regan, Paul Beirne, Cathal Dempsey,Raheel Haider.

Cup win for Under 12 Girls

Our Under 12 Girls took part in a blitz in Tubberclare, Westmeath, on Saturday. The girls did very well on the day, winning the Auburn Cup. Well done Girls.
Many of the same girls attend Whitehall NS, and they have qualified for the Cumman Na Mbunscoil final, which takes place on this Tuesday at 5 pm in Ballyleague.

Under 14 Girls

Our Under 14 Girls wrapped up their League campaign with a hard fought win over neighbours Strokestown last week. After an even first half, our girls led by a point at the break. Our girls started the second half well, and with Strokestown fighting hard to get back in the game, the defence held firm and we held out for a good win on a scoreline of St Barry’s 2-6 Strokestown 1-3.
The Girls now have a break, before the Championship begins in August. They have been showing great improvement both individually and as a team during the league. Keep up the good work Girls!!

Big Match in Donegal

Congratulations to one of our longest serving players, Ciaran Garraghan and his fiance Lorraine who were married in Donegal last Saturday. Best wishes to them both from all at St Barry’s.
