It’s a busy evening on the Roscommon Sport scene with action in Basketball, Gaelic Football, Pool and Soccer.
Gaelic Football

At 6:30pm the Roscommon Minor Footballers begin their Connacht Minor League campaign away to Mayo in the Connacht GAA Centre. Note: This games was originally due to be played tomorrow in Charlestown.

Gaelic Football

An injury hit Roscommon Under 21 Football Team host Galway in Kiltoom at 7:30pm in the Eirgrid Connacht Under 21 Football Championship Final. Roscommon could be missing up to five potential starters, including Ultan Harney, as they begin the defence of their title. Gardai are advising supporters that no parking will be allowed on the side of N61.

Basketball

It’s Top 4 weekend in the Shannonside Basketball League and the Enterprise Hub in Castlerea is the place to be for plenty of action over the next three evenings. There will be plenty of local interest in the event as both Castlerea Cosmos and Castlerea Kings will be in action as will the Western Warriors. Click here to read our preview

Soccer

At 8pm there are two Roscommon and District Football League Games:Ballymoe FC host Moore United in The Herald Premier Division and in Round One of The Herald Challenge Cup
Ballinasloe Town B host Kilkerrin United

Pool

And finally, the second legs of the Roscommon Pool League Shield Semi-Finals take place tonight. After the first leg “Eddies” hold a 5-4 lead over “Farrells” and “The Silver Eel” also lead “The Forge” 5-4.

The first leg of one of the Cup Semi-Finals also get under way as “An Bothar Rua” host “Foxes”.
