Cloonfad United 1 Ballinasloe Town 6
League leaders Ballinasloe Town had too much fire power for our First Team on Saturday night. Some chaotic defending saw us 4-0 down after only 22 minutes and a severe beating looked on the cards. However we tightened the ship slightly to finish on a scoreline of 6-1. Ryan Merchant scored our only goal.
This result and performance gave the Cloonfad supporters present little hope that they will avoid relegation for the first time in 34 years. Thanks to all the players and management for their efforts.
Fixtures
Both senior teams are away next Sunday. The Premier Division Team face Ballaghaderreen while the Reserves face Division 2 Champions elect Lough Harps. Both games kick-off at 2pm
